Olympus - Year of the Monkey Cotton Sashiko Sampler Cloth - Navy

This is a pre-printed piece of Navy Blue cotton fabric with a design of a Monkey with a fan, cherry blossom, pine, and cloud motifs for the Year of the Monkey.

It's very handy for learning sashiko stitching. Instructions are in Japanese but easy to follow. You can complete this kit with one skein of sashiko thread, but may choose to use more than one color for added contrast.

The fabric measures 13" x 13" (33 cm x 33 cm) folded in half and is printed with dye that will wash out.

This type of cloth is called a "fukin" (pronounced foo-keen), or little hand towel.
