Olympus - Kikkoh Hanasashi Cotton Sashiko Sampler Cloth - White

This is a pre-printed piece of white 100% cotton with a pattern of "Kikkoh Hanasashi", very handy for learning sashiko stitching.

Instructions are in Japanese but easy to follow.

The fabric measures 13" x 13" (33 cm x 33 cm) folded in half and is printed with dye that will wash out.

This type of cloth is called a "fukin" (pronounced foo-keen), or little hand towel.

NOTE: To make the design as shown on the package you will need at least 4 x 20m skeins of sashiko thread (Olympus brand), or 2 to 3 x 40m skeins (Daruma or Yokota brands). The design is meant to be done with two contrasting colors as shown, but the mix is up to you.
