Olympus - Teddy Bear Hina Matsuri Cotton Sashiko Sampler Cloth - White

This is a pre-printed piece of White cotton fabric with a design of a teddy bear prince and princess for Hina-matsuri, also known as Doll's Day or Girl's Day in Japan. It's very handy for learning sashiko stitching.

Instructions are in Japanese but easy to follow. You can complete this cloth sampler with one skein of sashiko thread, but may choose to use more than one color for added contrast. The colors shown are a suggestion. You can stitch the design in one color if you prefer.

The fabric measures 13.4" x 13.4" (34 cm x 34 cm) folded in half and is printed with dye that will wash out.

This type of cloth is called a "fukin" (pronounced foo-keen), or little hand towel.
