Olympus - Icons of Japan Cotton Sashiko Sampler Cloth - White

This is a pre-printed piece of WHITE cotton fabric with a sashiko design featuring popular images of Japan including Maneki Neko (Lucky Cat), a castle, a fan , Mt. Fuji, sakura (cherry blossom), and chidori (shore bird).

The fabric measures 13" x 13" (34 cm x 34 cm) when folded in half and is printed with dye that will wash out. Sashiko needles, thread and thimbles are also available in our shop.

This type of kit is called a "hana fukin", or little hand towel. You can complete this sampler with ONE skein of sashiko thread, but may choose to use more than one color for added contrast.
