Olympus - Hokusai Collection "Umezawa Hamlet Fields" Sashiko Sampler Kit - White

This is a sashiko kit with a pattern of the Umezawa Hamlet-fields in Sagami Province, an image from Hokusai Katsushika's "Thirty-Six Views of Mt. Fuji" series.

The fabric is crisp white and measures 13" x 13" (34 cm x 34 cm) when folded in half, and is printed with dye that will wash out.

INCLUDED in this kit: cloth, sashiko needles, thread, instructions in English. This set uses the newer thin sashiko thread to allow for more detail.

This type of cloth is called a "fukin" (pronounced foo-keen), or little hand towel.
