Chaga, which grows naturally on Birch trees, has been called a "Gift from God" or the "King of Herbs". This fungi has been respected and used for thousands of years throughout Russia, Korea, Eastern and Northern Europe, the Northern United States, the North Carolina mountains and Canada.
Chaga is a mass of mycelium or sclerotium resembling burnt charcoal. This conk mushroom grows primarily on birch trees and other hardwoods in forests throughout the northern hemisphere.

Properties:

Chaga Mushrooms contain a wide variety of constituents including beta-glucans and triterpenes. This mushroom helps the body with immune and intestinal issues and may help to protect the liver. It has adaptogenic properties and can help your body adapt to stress and be in a calmer state.

How to use:

1 teaspoon of Chaga to one cup of boiling water. Simmer for 15 minutes and steep for a couple of hours. Strain and drink 1-2 cups a day.

Cautions and contraindications:

Because Chaga can influence blood glucose levels, it should be used with caution in people on anti-diabetes drugs, including insulin. Doing so may cause hypoglycemia (an abnormal drop in blood sugar). There is also concern that Chaga may interfere with blood clotting
